How it works
I see adults, from young adults to older adults, one on one by secure video, anywhere in Florida. No commute, no waiting room, no sitting in traffic trying to get somewhere on time. You log in from a private spot, and we get to work.
I believe therapy works best when you are dealing with a real person, not someone hiding behind a perfect facade. Telehealth lets us do that from wherever you already feel comfortable.
What I help with
Find what fits
- Anxiety and PanicFor when your mind will not stop running
- OCD and Intrusive ThoughtsOCD has an incredible talent for finding the thing you care about most
- DepressionFor when everything feels heavier than it should
- Trauma and PTSDYour reactions make sense. They can also get easier to live with.
- Serious Mental IllnessA diagnosis can describe something you experience. It does not get to describe everything you are.
- Life Transitions and StressFor the seasons when everything changes at once
- Disability and Chronic IllnessDisability is not automatically a tragedy. The systems around it can still be exhausting.
I also work with substance use and co-occurring disorders, ADHD and neurodivergence, grief and loss, self-esteem, and LGBTQ+ identity and inclusion.
Why it works
Does online therapy actually work?
Telehealth is not therapy’s cheaper cousin.
Evidence-based psychotherapy can be delivered virtually, and telehealth has become a normal way of receiving mental health treatment.
Whether it is the right fit still depends on the person, the condition, privacy, technology, safety needs, and the kind of treatment being provided.
I have provided behavioral health services virtually since 2020, from large online groups during the pandemic to a full outpatient psychotherapy caseload.
For me, telehealth is not an emergency substitute for “real therapy.”
It is where I have done a substantial portion of my clinical work.
No commute required
Accessibility matters
A therapy appointment should not have to become a three-hour logistical operation.
Transportation, disability, work schedules, caregiving, anxiety, geography, illness, and plain old Florida traffic can make getting to an office substantially harder than the actual therapy session.
Telehealth can remove some of those barriers.
You still need a private enough place to talk and a reliable enough internet connection.
That private place does not have to look impressive. A home office works. A bedroom works. A parked car works. A closet works.
Honestly, if you can speak privately and safely, we can probably make it work.
What you need
- A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.
- A steady internet connection.
- A private place where you can talk freely.
- To be in Florida during each session. I am licensed in Florida (LCSW SW27230), so that is where you need to be while we meet.
Where
Who can I see?
I provide telehealth psychotherapy to adults who are physically located in Florida at the time of the session.
Your permanent home does not need to be near mine.
Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Key West, the middle of nowhere with functioning WiFi, all fine.
Florida is Florida.

In session
What sessions are like
Sessions are a conversation, not a lecture. We start with what matters most to you, look at what you have already tried, and build from there. I bring practical tools from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and solution-focused work, and I keep things human. You do not need to have it all figured out before your first session.

Using your insurance
I am in network with several insurance plans through Headway. The Insurance page has the current list, and Headway shows your expected cost before you book. If your plan is not on the list yet, private pay may be an option.

Common questions
A few things people often ask. There are more answers on the FAQ page.
My first priority is making you comfortable. You do not need to arrive with everything figured out or be ready to share your whole life story. We start with what feels most important to you and talk about what you hope will change. By the end, we will have a few first priorities and a sense of whether my approach is a good fit for you.
Yes. I am licensed in Florida, so you need to be located in Florida during each session.
No. I am a psychotherapist, not a psychiatrist, so I do not prescribe. If you take medication or think it might help, keep working with your doctor or psychiatrist on that part.
Yes, with a few exceptions the law requires, such as when someone is at serious risk of harm. We go over these at the start so there are no surprises.

Ready when you are
You can book a time on my Headway profile, where you can also check your insurance coverage. Questions first? Call 754.400.0824 or send me a message. The Insurance page has the plans I accept.
Want to nerd out on the research?
You absolutely do not need to read research papers to come to therapy. But if you are the kind of person who wants to know where this stuff comes from, here are a few good places to start.
