How it works
How Medicare covers therapy
Medicare Part B covers outpatient therapy with a licensed clinical social worker, including sessions by video from your home.
I am a participating Medicare provider. That means I accept Medicare’s approved amount as payment in full and bill Medicare for you.
In 2026, you pay the Part B deductible ($283) and then 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. If you have a Medigap (supplemental) plan, it may cover some or all of that 20%.
Because I participate in Medicare, I cannot accept private pay from Original Medicare members for covered therapy.
Part C
Medicare Advantage is separate
Medicare Advantage plans (Part C) are run by private insurance companies and have their own networks. My applications with several Medicare Advantage plans are in progress. The plan list shows the latest status.
In person?
Do I need to come in person?
Not right now. Medicare’s telehealth rules for therapy at home are in place through December 31, 2027.
Medicare may add an in-person visit requirement starting in 2028. If that happens, I'll let you know well ahead of time and we'll figure out a plan together.
Tech help
Not a tech person? That is fine.
- You can use a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera
- A family member can help you set up the first call, then step out
- We can do a short test call before your first session
- If video stops working during a session, we can finish by phone
Before you book
Common questions
Can I see you if I spend part of the year outside Florida?
Only while you are in Florida. I am licensed in Florida, so you need to be in the state during each session. If you head north for the summer, we can plan a pause or I can help you find someone where you will be.
How do I book as a Medicare member?
Use my scheduling page and choose Medicare as your insurance. Have your red, white, and blue Medicare card handy, plus any supplemental plan card.
Ready when you are
Book a time on my scheduling page. Insurance, Medicare, or private pay, the steps are the same, and you can add your insurance as you book. Questions first? Call 754.400.0824 or send me a message.
What it costs: your plan’s copay or coinsurance if I am in network, 20% after the deductible with Original Medicare, or the private pay rate. See costs
