Private pay

Private pay is not available for Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service. You can also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Good to know

  • Medicare Advantage is separate. Being in network with a company’s regular plans does not mean I am in network with its Medicare Advantage plans. For example, I accept Aetna, but not Aetna Medicare Advantage yet.
  • You need to be in Florida during sessions. I am licensed in Florida (LCSW SW27230), so you need to be located in Florida while we meet.
  • Headway has the most current list. New plans show up on my Headway profile (opens in a new tab) as soon as they go live.
